Anti-Reflection Coatings

Anti-reflection coatings are used to prevent reflections from obscuring the viewing area. They are common coatings used in many different types of displays.
ESI provides multi-layer anti-reflective coatings on glass, plastic and film.  Anti-reflective coatings reduce surface reflection and increase substrate transmission.  Anti-reflective coatings are designed to cut down on glare and reflection from unwanted ambient light.

AR/AG filters add enhanced glare resistance to AR coated surfaces. Anti-glare filters are another common coating treatment that is used in many different types of displays.
ESI provides anti-reflective / anti-glare (AR / AG) coatings on glass, plastic, and film. Anti-glare coatings reduce surface reflection and scatter specular reflections into a wide viewing cone. Anti-glare coatings work well in direct sunlight applications.

EMI / RFI Shielding ~ Conductive Coatings

Conductive Coatings

ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coatings provide shielding from various forms of atmospheric interference, including EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). This protection is useful in applications ranging from medical displays to instrument panels.
ESI offers a variety of EMI / RFI shielding solutions. ESI offers ITO conductive coatings on glass and film. ESI also offers wire mesh for shielding applications.  ESI’s EMI windows provide shielding for military, industrial, and medical applications.

Privacy Filters

Blur and Micro-Louver Privacy Filters

Privacy filters are applied on any display that could be showing personal or confidential information.

ESI offers micro-louver or blur filters for applications ranging from personal computers and touch screens to ATM machines and medical displays.
ESI offers privacy filters that limit the viewing angle of displays. Privacy filters are designed to keep personal information on displays private. ESI offers two types of privacy technologies – blur privacy film which blurs the image when viewed from off center, and micro-louver privacy film which blackens the image when viewed from off center.

IR / Heat Rejecting Filters

Heat Rejecting Filters

Heat rejecting (IR rejecting) filters are important when the display will encounter direct sunlight. ESI's heat filters protect the display from damage caused by extreme atmospheric conditions while ensuring readability.
ESI offers a line of heat rejecting filters that are designed to cut down on outdoor heat loading display issues. ESI’s IR rejecting film can be laminated to glass or acrylic to offer a vandal resistant, outdoor, heat rejecting filter. ESI’s heat rejecting filters reduce heat on the display up to 40%.

Optical Films and Laminations

Optical films are available in roll form or they can be laminated to various substrates by ESI

ESI offers many different optical films that can be provided in roll or sheet form, or laminated to substrates including glass and plastic.

LCD enhancement filters are applied to LCD displays to maximize the display quality and functionality.
